NVQ Level 2 in Hairdressing


what’s involved....

 

This course is available to any person over the age of 25 years, who wishes to train, retrain or up skill in hairdressing. The course consists of theory and practical sessions in a modern academy 1 day per week for a duration of 1 year. You will obtain current skills functional in any commercial salon and you will achieve a whole range of skills to become a successful hair stylist.

 

Mandatory Units

G20 – Ensure your own actions reduce risks to health & safety

G17 – Give clients a positive impression of you and your organisation.

G7 - Advise & Consult with Clients

GH8 - Shampoo & Condition hair & scalp

GH9 - Change hair colour using basic techniques

GH10 – Style and finish hair using basic techniques

GH11 – Set and dress hair using basic techniques

GH12 – Cut hair using basic techniques

Plus One Of The Following Optional Units

G4 – Fulfil salon reception duties

G18 – Promote additional products or services to clients

G8 – Develop and maintain your effectiveness at work

GH13 – Style hair using basic plaiting and twisting techniques

GH14 – Perm & neutralise hair using basic techniques

H15 – Attach hair to enhance a style


Start date = The first Friday in September

Training Day = Friday Training Time = 9am—5pm

Completion Date = the last Friday in August


Please note the Hair Academy is open all year except for

Bank Holidays and the month of December
