The Modern Apprenticeship (MA) is a government funded programme available to students up to the age of 25. You will achieve a National Vocational Qualification at Level 2 – covering nine subject areas including - Cutting, Styling, Colouring & Perming.
You will be supported by our experienced team of hairdressers to achieve the confidence to work as an effective member of a team in a commercial salon while creating both commercial and fashion creations for your clients.
On completion of your programme you will have acquired the skills to perform in a commercial salon at stylist level.
In addition to your NVQ Level 2 you will achieve the all important employable skills of Communication, Employers Rights and Responsibilities. The MA is a work related competence based programme.
The Hair Academy offer an enhanced MA where you will be able to work towards units of the Level 3 qualification.
Eligibility - You must have a contract of employment and be in working full time in a salon.
