Modern Apprenticeship
The Advanced Modern Apprenticeship (AMA) is a government funded
programme for students up to the age of 25 who have achieved a level 2 or relevant industry experience. Whilst working as an effective stylist you will learn the skills to deal with more challenging circumstances to enable you to provide a more creative service to your clients.
You will also acquire the necessary skills to support your colleagues and be an effective team leader.
Main aim NVQ Level 3 covering 9 subject areas such as Advanced Cutting & styling techniques, colouring and colour correction methods, business and promotional activities. The AMA is a work related competence based programme. Key skills Communication Level 2 & Application of Number Level 2. Employment Rights and Responsibilities.
On completion of your programme you will have acquired the skills to perform in a commercial salon at supervisory level.
Eligibility - You must have a contract of employment and be in working full time in a salon.
